“When the going gets tough, the tough get going” characterizes Rödl Middle East as it opens its Bahrain office in this period of gloom in the business world. This is their ninth office in the Middle East and North Africa region, following Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait, Cairo, Alexandria, Qatar, and Qatar Financial Center.
Rödl Middle East is a German-based multidisciplinary professional services firm that provides audit, accounting, tax, legal, and business consulting services for local and international businesses. It currently staffs more than 350 professionals in the MENA region. “Rödl continues a record growth trend. In the first three quarters of 2009, total turnover has increased by twenty percent. This is due to Rödl Middle East’s successful establishment as an alternative to the “Big Four” in the market for audit, accounting, and business advisory services,” explains Hikmat Mukhaimer, founder and senior partner. “Manager-owned companies in the MENA region require advisors who understand their clients’ business and can offer personal consultation. In the current difficult market situation, our business model remains robust. Our major competitive advantage is the ability to offer comprehensive multidisciplinary consulting services.”
In its third quarter regional meeting, business development manager Dr. Ulrike Thannheiser emphasizes the need for consulting companies to increase their efficiency and productivity in order to remain competitive in the market. “Clients are evermore cost-conscious during these challenging times. We are therefore more focusing on two points, namely constantly adapting our marketing strategy and enhancing our infrastructure.” She adds “we have recently implemented a state-of-the-art CRM system.”
Talking about what the future holds, Kuwait senior partner Rabbie Mukhaimer says “we see continuing growth over a number of years due to enhanced awareness in areas such as corporate governance, risk assessment strategy, and other fields that were traditionally ignored.”
“With the opening of the Bahrain office and scheduled opening of the Riyadh office next month, Rödl Middle East has embarked on a new and challenging journey,” says Tareq Wafa, Bahrain partner.
